[Milsurplus] AN/WRT-2

An even better approach is to use a solid state motor drive, one in
particular, a TECO unit , will produce 5KVA at 20-400 Hz three phase, from a
230VAC single phase source, so you can power 400 Hz stuff as well! I am
using a couple of them now with no problems. They are also small, silent,
and relatively inexpensive ($200-300 on the bay)

Ken:

You don't need to re-wire your house. There are rotary converters (and
electronic) used by the lathe/milling machine crowd that takes single phase
and converts it to 3 phase. It is essentially a three phase motor connected
to run on single phase and the three windings are used to drive other 3
phase motors. Search for rotary converters and you should find some.

Try this website for starters:

Thanks for the info, guys. That three phase power requirement would
mean an extensive re-build of the PS in order to use it in MY house.
Although I do have 220 VAC, I sure as heck don't have three phase
power.

Oh, well. The transmitter in question is part of an estate I am helping to
sort out for the daughter.

I have always wanted a 2 - 30 Mhz, all-mode, 500 watt output (or more)
transmitter to go along with the R-390A.

Never know when you might need it.

But I guess this isn't it. Shucks.
