It would be clearly marked on the nomenclature plate, unless some
ham-radio-commando removed it.

The T-47A units had Signal Corps format tags on the right side, usually
along with a British Air Ministry tag.  The USN T-47 units usually had the
smaller rounded-corner plates on the right side that just gave the JAN
nomenclature, serial number, and NOxx contract number.  The USN units don't
have the British Air Ministry tags.
