I'm not a milsurplus collector, but I wanted to mention that I've found this
thread very enjoyable and informative, due to my interest in all types of
Cold War-era C4I systems, networks and facilities.

I'd like to invite everyone who has similar interests to join the Cold War
Communications list on Yahoo Groups.  In fact, members have recently been
asking for more discussion of HF topics, so your contributions would find an
