Many of the very active guys in the Wash DC area on the 6M AM net are new
hams and running vintage gear. We get a dozen or so check-in's per net.

Thanks to everyone for their comments.
I don't think there are enough interested older hams
to keep VHF AM viable. The younger ones couldn't care
less, nor do they understand anything that doesn't give
them a "roger beep" when they release the PTT; I'd hate to think what one of
them would do, trying to tune up a Clegg 99er.
