Their may be the A ARC-65 installed, did see the big drum that you speak
of between navigators and flight engineers station taking up much space,
the UHF radios were ARC-27 or 34, way bigger then the ARC-51 that I am
familiar with. it has been about a year ago and then I only spent about
half a hour on the flight deck so I may plan a trip back after Dayton to
examine further. I would not expect to see such a receiver installed but
have no explanation on why its their. did not see any other HF receiver.
maybe the transponder was a APX-25, just looking at it was thinking it
was a six from its appearance. If their is any interest will go back ,
do interviews, pictures and web page of results.
