That is the dynamotor for the BC-645 (SCR-515) IFF set.  I don't think it
ever had much appeal.

That would be the 6 / 12 vdc PE-103 dynamotor that many hams used to supply
their mobile transmitters.  My dad (W5WRR) used one in the 1950s with a
Multi-Elmac AF-67.  It was the dynamotor for the SCR-284 (BC-654) set.
