It is much easier to reduce emissions from a few power plants than it is from
thousands of vehicles. Also it is possible to use nuclear power which is very
clean.
Batteries are only volumetrically inefficient. Their electrical efficiency
isn't bad and right now a lot of advancements are being made, hopefully many of
which will filter down to us portable radio enthusiasts!
This has gone WAY off-topic. Consider this my last post on the subject.
