I would like to find out how many suffered from broken antennas?  the 
"automobile style" telescoping antenna was not flexible and if kinked it 
would be a certain break if straightened.

I sadly remember this happening to me as a high school kid when my newly 
acquired 611 tipped over (while sitting on a window ledge) and hit the 
ground from about 4 feet!  Ooops!  :-)  I can imagine the problems during 
combat!

The PRC-6 tape antenna was the solution....too bad Galvin didn't consider 
this potential problem earlier.
