I'll check, but we are only a letter apart. 8=))

The system I'm thinking of is a series of 3" rack chassis, up to 3 or 4, that
held 3 plig-ins each. The plug-ins were essentially identical to the tuning
units for the SR-209. The receiver had a number of internal slots for different
BW and mode demod cards, a plug-in selector switch and a lot of connectors on
the back. It also took an SDU in the same format as the tuning heads. I'm pretty
sure it was made by ACL. I have the manuals here somewhere and the hardware in
storage.

As to the sub, it was a missile boat, not fast attack and it was in about 1970
to 1972 that I visited it on a family day when it was open to the public.
