[Milsurplus] LO Radiation

Back in the mid 70's I used to hear TV local oscillators
on my 440 mHz mobile, usually modulated by the TV audio and
whatever loud room noises were shaking the set. I usually
could hear a given set for about a half a block.
The radio was one of the old Motorola tube type T44 rigs, so
the sensitivity wasn't the greatest.
But, I don't recall hearing any TV LO's after about 1980, even
though the radios got better(at least in the sensitivity department).
I attribute this to better shielding in the synthesized tuners.
