The early -mid '60s were a change time for the services to SSB....we swaped
to WRC-1 SSB from local comms on AM via TCS in 1967. SAC people were
assholes but they had the money so could direct things,  a lot based on the
LeMay personality.  Randall even built special 'Curtis Lemay' stainless
steel  .45s 1911A1
