[Milsurplus] Interesting "Military" "Spy" radio.

I didn't totally come up with the JSDF connection. Wasn't this
topic in a CQ magazine a few years back, where there was
posted a similar style receiver? I KNOW we have seen this
particular type equipment before, just don't recall precisely 
where. At the time i wondered why the need for manufacturing
of such simple equipment, when adequate equipment was 
already available from other sources - but maybe it was done
to get Japan's electronic industry going again, and maybe to
provide some employment. 
When you think about it- most of the conquered countries'
military radio equipment was crunched up, altho some 
escaped as souvenirs - to be replaced by US equipment or
new-manufacture of their own. To start with a fresh clean
slate was maybe important, and also kept the electronics
industry moving forward. -Hue Miller
