Looking at the VRC-7 can see how the RT-70 with the associated amplifier
would make a wonderful tank radio, but can see no practical idea why you
would ever want to remove the RT-70 and attempt to use it as a battery
powered field radio. what possible advantage would their be to trying to
use it in a battery mode? their were other radios redly available at the
time that were better suited to field use, and just looking at the shape
and size so no good reason for working a RT-70 that way. would think the
PRC-10 lends itself to be way more useful field radio then a 70 can be
and if their is a requirements for a base or CP radio something like a
RT-68 it way better then a low power RT-70.
