AMEN.  Indiana Jones 2-ways.  And ingeniously designed with TRF rx-s & 
mcw.  You never needed "on the nose tuning" & cud run the things in
mitttens open cockpit biplanes.  Mostly on 3105 or 6210 - th incoming tower
freq.s everyone used.

SCR-183 lasted up thru P-40s as the SCR-283... the 28V spin.
