[Milsurplus] For Sale and Trade is allowed on this list

Listing For Sale, Want or Trade items on this list is not prohibited. I
encourage you to offer list members a chance to improve their collection
before going to epay (or the dumpster!). There are hundreds of subscribers
world wide on this list with our specific interest.
The follow-up 'deal' emails should always be done off the list in private.
It is generally accepted courtesy to not keep listing the same items
repetitively in a short period of time as someone else mentioned.
One of the big list rules is that advertising your own ebay listings is
prohibited.
The original thread is off topic as the original poster stated. Hopefully
everyone's blown off some steam and we can get back on topic.

Subject: Re: [Milsurplus] E-bay farce
There are alternatives to ebay, such as the rec.radio.amateur.boatanchors or
rec.radio.swap newsgroups. Maybe the moderator of this group would allow
limited sales, such as allowing each subscriber one for-sale each month with
the negotiations and questions handled off-list.
It's a shame to see stuff thrown out...
