WOW!  WOW!!!  I know Bob W4BCD Verlander.  Saw him Saturday.  Dad
named Buck hacked R985s off BT13s & put 'em on PT17s when Bob
was a kid.  Bob helped

Buck also sub'd for a bud on a C46 freighter op'n.  Great story
on leaving Lakehurst w. a Bristol Britania engine headed for
Goose Bay.  Crate stamped in pounds which they thot were KGs.

So over-grossed they just made it over Hell Gate bridge
pouring H2O down the carbs.  Was in '52 & 'war emergency water'
hadn't been tested since '44.
