Hi,

Slightly off-topic, but I've wanted to see that John Wayne film for years 
and also "Island In The Sky", by the same author Ernst K. Gahn. Does anyone 
know if they're available on DVD, as I've looked over here in the UK without 
success? I do have a multi-region DVD-player so US versions are OK

BTW, "Island" is based on a real event in WWII when a Ferry Command B-24 
went down in Labrador. The book is excellent and does show a real knowledge 
of aircraft radio, stations are "worked" by the radio operators and the 
names of real Ferry Command bases and radio beacons are disguised but 
recognisable. Also there are references to false messages being put out by 
U-Boats to confuse the rescuers, etc.
