[Milsurplus] Radios/Electronic Equipment used in Movies

Followed thread about ill-use of radios in movies. One of my favorite movies is "Kelly's Hero's" where only a few of the radios are wrong, bu the movie is so right. Just re-viewed "Plan 9 from Outer Space" (which is available in the public domain now - who'd dare to claim copyright on the world's worst movie? www.archive.org). I believe the "aliens" use TBY looking rigs. The female is twisting and tuning the radio using the ceramic antenna post in one scene. Maybe that's why she can't contact the mother ship? Bill/KA3AIS
