I guess after this last episode with the 51J-3 i blew my cork at the
seller. I just couldn't stand it any more.
I see this so many times and hear about so many occasions where pawn
shops and antique stores sell radio gear and have no idea what they have
in their hands. No idea how to package it and can't even give you a
straight answer when you give them a question with little technical
requirements.
The packing job on this unit was absolutely not there. His comments to
me were that he has packed and shipped a lot of stuff over the years and
never had a complaint. My response was that if i had to file a claim on
the radio, FedEx would have thrown me out of the office after laughing
their pants off. It ws so terrible. I can't believe that it didn't
have more damage than it did.
If there was only some way we could get them to contact a person who had
knowledge in this stuff and also knew the correct way to package radios.
But how can you cover such a broad area especially when they think
they know it all?
Sometimes it makes a grown man want to cry!
