[Milsurplus] What did BC-1000 talk to?

Hi,
My friend's dad, Joe Rapp did an interview with me about his service as a
Marine radio operator.

He served with the 6th Marine Division, and was assigned to the HQ Company
of the 22nd Regiment of the 3rd Battalion. He used an SCR-300(BC-100) to
communicate with the line companies, also using SCR-300. The BC-611 was
used at the Platoon level. On Okinawa the radio operator for K company was
KIA, so Joe had to take his place and was himself wounded.

My opinion on the MAB vs. BC-611 issue is that having ripped headphones out
of radios plenty of times even when not trying to avoid getting killed,
that the many loose appurtenances of the MAB make it less practical.
