I just posted the data from the Canada Post site and they have no record beyond
the acceptance at the original PO.
Thanks to your information, I just tried the USPS site, and there is no record
of the package. They did NOT say the number is bad, just they have no record. It
would seem likely that it never made it into the US system.

I'd agree, in general. Certainly I've had fewer problems than with UPS or FedEX.
