Subject: [Milsurplus] Why no US mil gear compendium?

I wonder just why no one ever attempted a coffee-table picture
book on US mil radio equipment. I don't recall seeing any large
radio sections, even, in other books on US militaria. Is it
because there was just too much? Too many exceptions? No
one cared about it til recently, with the growth of the
reenactment movement?
Actually, i think it's now too late, at least for paper publication:
large art books just cost too much, are too bulky to store. Better
to publish on the web, where anyone can access with entry fee,
and also the inevitable paper publisher's screw-ups can be
avoided, mistakes can be corrected overnight. -Hue Miller
