I got my RS-6 at SAC HQ in Omaha.  It was contained in a heavy nylon bag with 
snaps suitable to be attached to a parachute. Inside the bag were thin sheets 
of dense foam padding, but I really doubt the thing would have survived 
anything but a soft landing.

The other thing that has always puzzled me is that my power supply was 6V 
pluc line voltage input. I would have thought that in that day and age, it would 
have been 12V.
