Hi, Mike.
Contrary to popular belief, SCR-288 was deployed to the Pacific theater
and I have no doubt the USMC got hold of some.
Yes; I do have period documentation and have posted about it on the
reflectors in the past. SCR-284 was not widely available
in the Pacific that early. First-line equipment
went to the ETO-bound units under the "Germany First" policy.
I don't have anything first-source concerning the SCR-194 in
the Pacific, though I do not doubt it. I have photographic
evidence of its deployment in combat in Italy.
They disposed of the hopeless hay-wire headphones and microphone
and were using the handset normally found on SCR-195.
