Were I a mid-20th century Japanese infantryman
(weighing about 95 pounds), I probably could. Alas...
Mine is well used, does still latch and does still pull
out smoothly. The only real damage is ham-inflicted.
I don't say it's as sturdy as a TCS or even a TBX-
only that the hand-crafting inside
is at least as good as that in my BC-474 and better
than my TBYs. Both were contemporaries.
I don't think the TBY would be much sturdier with RBBs
stacked on it. The Forest Service radio comparison you
make is probably the fairest. I must say I've been surprised
at how well it works for a 1934-design regen.
