[Milsurplus] New Afghan Army using PRC-6's

Hi

With the advent of frequency hopping radios most of the old fixed
channel VHF stuff has been surplused by countries all over the world.
That's dumped an awful lot of solid state gear on the world market at
ridiculous prices.

I suspect that the cost of firing up a line to make PRC-6 battery
substitutes would far outweigh the cost of buying a couple hundred
solid state radios.

Of course there may be a factory somewhere in China churning out
genuine PRC-6 batteries right now to go with a warehouse full of radios
from Pakistan ....

	Take Care!
