I don't doubt the US Army proved NVIS works.
I think i raised some pretty good questions, basically:

How is NVIS involved for communications below 3 MHz, even below 1.5 MHz?
How is this a loop antenna if it has extra members across it?
If it was NVIS, why did the Wehrmacht not stay with it as the war progressed?

I think i will try to contact Arthur Bauer of the Netherlands - i'm sure he can 
give the final word on this. Anyone have an email address for Arthur, or his
