I recently toured the WV 121 Connie aircraft at Chanute Museum in Rantoul
Illinois. They had an ARC 27 out of the case sitting on a table. I asked why it
was out there and the guide said that they show it to kids, most of whom, have
no idea what a vacuum tube is. They ask them if they have a cell phone, most
say yes, and tell them that they are looking at its great grandfather. He said
it gets lots of attention from kids who are fascinated by its complexity.

As soon as I can find a place to post photos, I will put up pix of the WV 121
interior including a nice ARR 41 and 618T installation and some shots of our
expedition into the C 97 that had been unopened for many years. Sadly the C 97
had no radios aboard, only empty racks.
