I'm afraid I can't help.  TM 11-637 (16 OCT 44) for the AN/VRC-3 says the
FT-317 (whatever that is) is used in the M4 tank and the FT-250 (whatever
that is) is used in the M5 tank.  The manual says that other installations
are detailed in the TM 11-2700 series of manuals (whatever those are).
