     I have a question for the list. A while back i bought a BC348Q. It 
looks great and works very well. Has a built PS in place of the dynamotor.
     Someone in the past has removed the AVC-OFF-MVC switch and put in an RF 
gain control with off/on switch. Its well done and from what I can find out 
this is an accepted mod.
     I would really like it to be stock but not sure whether to put it back 
like it was. What does the list think. Since it works well and the RF gain 
does help with SSB, should I just leave it alone?.
     I am not a purist so using it as it is doesnt bother me. Its only 
because my Elmer back in 1953 used a BC-348Q and his was stock. So just a 
bit of nastalga. John
