Mike, well maybe i got a wrong impression from the catalog, and G&G
didn't actually have hundreds of ATBs new in boxes or hundreds of
SCR-583 ( antecedent to SCR-284 ) new complete. Maybe they just
had a few of each- that would explain better why G&G managed to
disappear without a splash and no stories about where the mass of
equipment went.

Say, something i've wondered about: later on, in the last catalog,
it looked like some parts of the G&G book were straight from 
FAIR RADIO's catalog. Did they have some kind of partnership,
or did the old man just crib convenient portions from FAIR's 
catalog for his own use?

And say- the ATB listing: the postage stamp sized photo in 
the G&G catalog - rather than showing the ATB, it showed
an ATD, altho you had to be a real died in the wool surplus
hound to know that. And the photo was never corrrected
or changed.

While i'm on this, was there actually a line a FAIR catalog
that read, "SAME, BUT DIFFERENT" ?    -Hue Miller
