Dangit, the systems designers/engineers @ RCA, GE, ARC, WECo, etc. are

You're looking in the wrong place, Marty. Try Ft. Monmouth. That's where such things as range of a'cft liason systems woulda been argued. And, RCA (RCA Review) and WeCo (BSTJ, and another, I forget the name) both had internal Journals which are in the public domain, and some tiny amount of defense related thinking trickled into them. It has been so long since I did my reading of them that I can't recall what any of it was, tho.
