Prewar T-17's look just like those made through the end of production (except 
for the gray or black plastic ones).  I have one around here somewhere that 
according to a note scratched on it was dug out of a crash site in Arkansas in 
1929.  Looks just like those made in '42 and '43 except no separate order 
number plate riveted to the back.  And not all of the WW-II production ones had 
that, either.
