Further to the question of 0D3 producing noise.

The "terrible" signal from the T19 is/was difficult to describe, it sort of
sounded like a bunch of very closely spaced carriers.

However the problem is solved, and it wasn't the 0D3 tube.  I had put a SS
12v regulator in the power supply to send constant voltage to the oscillator
(1626) filament - big mistake.  The regulated voltage must have been full of
RF from the regulator.

12vac now goes to all the filaments, ungrounded, twisted wires. (The T-19
was a gift, more or less a parts unit to start with - lest some one take
offense to mods.)
