Doolittle radio was the big contractor for most of the Signal Corps
aircraft remote control devices (flying bomb or otherwise). Link also had
some contracts.

The earliest piece I have seen is a (just) pre-war BC-389-T2 modulator,
part of one of the drone control sets.
