[Milsurplus] Re: Surplus stores (Gibson Girls available in downtown San Francisco?!?!)

  Back in the mid-1960s there were three electronic surplus stores in
downtown San Francisco -  three in a row, right there on Market St., a
little east of the more prosperous & upscale downtown area...   ...then
there were two stores, and then only one -  last one stayed 'til maybe
as late as 1970.  Sorry I don't remember any names but I'm sure some of
the Bay Area folks do.

  You'd find the usual stuff there, stacks of Command Set RXs, a wooden
bin containing maybe 1/2 cubic yard of BC-603 crystals, impossibly
expensive ARBs, URC-4s -  fine place for a kid to kill a day while the
parents shopped Gotschalks etc.
