Reading all the mail on the ASb gear and never thought about the NAVAER
08-5R-8 manual laying here that says:

"Handbook of Operating Instructions for Navy Type CPR-46ACJ Receiver for
use in Navy Model ASB-Series Aircraft Radar Equipment."  1 April 1944. 
This is a revision of NAV.AER: R-8 Dated July, 1943.

One of the paragraphs sez: Radio receiver CPR-46ACJ is an integral part
of any Model ASB Aircraft Radio Equipment

Maybe everyone has already determined that and i'm in the last cattle
car.  Never said i knew anything about it.
