Marty,

I think guessing that the Radio Set that the two units were a part of was the 
SCR-188 solely from the photo and text is jumping to a conclusion from 
insufficient data.  The photo is too small to determine whether the receiver is a 
BC-312 or a BC-342.  And the batteries and battery charging generator are not 
mentioned in the text.  Given the text, it isn't an SCR-193 as that was a 
vehicular set and only required an operator, not an eleven-man crew.  But not 
knowing about the batteries would result is in it's being either an SCR-177-B or an 
SCR-188-A but not SCR-177-A or SCR-188 (both of which used BC-AA-191 and 
BC-189).  Knowing about the batteries makes the set an SCR-177-B.
