  Oh, yeah, Tektronix: "Uh, Sir, unfortunately your oscilloscope was made 
nearly *six months* ago!!!  Tektronix no longer supports that instrument, 
and there is no documentation or spare parts available whatsoever. Our 
strong reccomendation is that you purchase a new, in-warranty, 
current-catalog nodel. Otherwise, it may be possible that some third-party 
supplier could help you, but we doubt it..."


   Now: I've been using/buying their gear for more than 40 years...  and 
let's not get me started on Hewlett-Packard...  ;}

  I've got 3 or 4 463s around here, and a nice 2252 on the bench, but it's 
membrane switches are failing, and I'm having to cut them out of discarded 
remote controls to keep it on-the-air...
