Impossible dream dept.

Don't pitch yet, a mil-connection emerges as a footnote.

Meter 1.6" (40mm) square. .5ma / 9K. Calibrated 0-10 in white & beyond 2
div'ns in red. Used as recording level (VU sorta) indicator.

Sez MT123B & Made in Japan on face. One of 2 such meters on a
Concertone/Teac 505.

Can do w/o by putting dpdt switch in a hole blanker, but then it'd be
a give-away I owned it.

Using it to xfer .25" 4-track tapes fm early-60s. Gospel group in
Ga. Original Ampex A122 survives & revived. But murders the brittle
acetate w. it's mechanical clutches, et. al.

Spent so much time w. a Gibson Girl (one lives) tape splicer I jumped in
on 505.

Concertone is 3-motor deck &, after scads or work, again gives it's as-new
velvet touch.

And that's the truth.

  Tnx

Meter-fixer might be answer. Front helical spring came unsoldered from
 "adjustment arm."

Gonna bring it to a watchmaker that kept the stereo Magnecorders going on
the Pueblo. Sed they recorded 2 tracks of the "other side's" CW on
each transport. Trax interspersed w. audio insertions of time & freq.

 Crude but effective?
