[Milsurplus] Lead solder banned?

My preferred solder is Ersin Multicore and has been for umm 35 years. I'm
using two rolls right now (different diameters) that are at least 15 years old
and could be older. They seem to still work just fine (the flux, I mean).
Also, when I think of Kester and solder, I think of torches and galvanized
flashing, or maybe copper piping, not decent electronics.

Come to think of it, copper water piping is a good place not to use lead
based solder. But anyone who uses copper water piping more than 10 degrees north
or south of the Equator is asking for trouble anyway.
