Mike, i don't think that one's right. I have seen quotes on the Navy's RBM receiver,
for example,and it was $1000. Maybe that's why R E Goodheart Co. called it "the
Navy's Pride", altho it was not that good a receiver, functionally, but very cute and
clean construction. Also, didn't the RBB/ RBC start at $1500 and go up to $2500 ?
Did i also see a quote that the BC-348 cost Sam $300 ? But, no way a Command Set
receiver cost $400. Maybe a set.
This kinda puts a different perspective on the BC-348 in the immediate postwar years
for $125, $89, then down to $59 or so. And some unusable thing like the ARR-2, which
in terms of hobby dollars in the late 1940s was no bargain!
