[Milsurplus] VLF

GWEN is no longer in use as it's mission has been replaced by a SATCOM
system. I know, I wrote the spec. The O&M costs on GWEN were staggering. -

I wonder if it was gear that was originally spec'd to work with
the former GWEN system? (though probably not, as GWEN
was referred to as an "LF" system, not VLF) I saw several
references to the AN/USC-13 being a "general VLF communi-
cations system" as well as a comment on a European avionics
site that the set is used for secure comms with subs.

For certain, it is most likely used for something. hehe
