Hi

There are a lot of variables so this will ultimately be a cut and try 
sort of thing.

I would try taking the 22 ohm resistors to 120 ohms. I would add a 47 
ohm resistor in series with the other selenium. If you are replacing 
the 6X4 as well (a good idea) I would put a 47 ohm resistor in series 
with it as well.
