....... One of my favorites was Berryville, VA. Smallish gathering but
always a lot of interesting stuff there (or so it seemed) and the feed they
put on at noon was worth the trip. Here in the LA area we have three
regular hamfests every month (Fontana, Pomona and TRW), and sometimes the
selection is great and sometimes the pickings are slim.

'Fests can be a surprise or a dissapointment but I keep going, you just
never know. One year I was in the Washington -Baltimore are quite a bit so
got to the ones Dennis mentioned and found Mil Surplus I 'needed'. Timonium
had LOTS of tailgate space wher I picked up an RBA and RBB with power
supplies etc. and lots of parts. Luckyly Paul Bernhardt stored my radios
until I could ship them back to CA. Berryville is fun, I really enjoyed it
out there in the shade of the big trees and found parts I was looking for.
That year I also went to Fall Fest and Shelby. Here in Southern CA there is
a Ham swap each weekend in four locations. Santee, Fontana, Pomona, and TRW
each on Saturday morning. TRW has turned up some neat stuff!! I got an AF-67
with power supply for $10.
