Hi,
We had RBA, RBB & RBC receivers on battleships and carriers and on lots of
other Navy ships at least through the Korean War as I was there. They were all
built during (some before?) World War II. I've never seen one that wasn't
built by RCA but then I didn't see all of them! They are great, hulking
boatanchors and were very stable and seldom failed. I used an RBB for 80 meter RTTY
around 1970 and It was a set and forget tuning procedure if the sending station
had a stable crystal or vfo.
