The receiver is a bit broad but completely useful today.

I use my transmitter and receiver together. TX & RX combos are common but by no means universal.

Would definitely recommend getting it on the air.  Nice little rigs.  Don't worry about all the 
different models you have represented in your collection of components (TCS-13, 14, 8)  All were 
basically the same.  Original cables and connectors can be hard to find, though.
