[Milsurplus] "Correct" fuses for BC-342??

Hi All,
Me again.

A quick question here. I have the BC-342 set up, sans case, on the
listening table to give it a "burn-in" and see if anything else comes up
before doing the final assembly. Last night I listened to it for perhaps
5-6 hours and it played quite well. At 10:00PM I turned it off while I
listened to "When Radio Was" (KSL Salt Lake City) on another receiver. When
I turned it back on at 11:00PM, dial lights lit, but nobody home. This
morning it turned out to be a blown 10A (!!) fuse in the filament line.

Since the "static" filament current should only be 1.6 Amps, a 10 Amp fuse
seems like way overkill, even more so for the dial lights! I had one of
those 10 Amp automotive (32 Volt) fuses in the filament line and they blow
very quickly. I put a 4 Amp Slo-Blo fuse in the filament line, it blew the
second time I turned the set on. There is a 5 Amp Slo-Blo fuse in there now
and it seems to be holding ok.

HOW MUCH FILAMENT CURRENT DOES THIS PUPPY SUCK UP AT "TURN ON"? A 10 amp
fuse "seems" like way overkill for the filaments, the radio doesn't "seem"
to be drawing excess current as it doesn't run any hotter than I'd expect it
too.

WHAT ARE THE CORRECT FUSES FOR THIS THING? The military part numbers in the
parts list don't mean a thing to me.

73 from the "Beaconeers Lair".
