1. This country is at war weather we want to be or not.

2. Border guards and Dept of Customs agents are trained and paid to be
suspicious and have never been known for courtesy - its not in the job
description.

3. Aforementioned guards however are trained to act on suspicious cicumstances
- even a vintage military vehicle decked out to the T's.

4. Our Canadian visitor in the original post experienced only a minor delay,
paid no fine, was not incarcerated and was allowed to continue on his way.

In conclusion, if our Canadian visitor does not like how we do things here he /
she should stay home or perhaps go visit France.
