Dave ya know if that foto's fm '44 Radio News "Electronics goes to War,"
I held it suspect.

Sort of regarded it as file footage.  Like a 1918-ish foto of a doughboy
with a Winchester '73 "somewhere in France."

But same issue has a foto of the backpack BC-1000 called, yes,
a walkie talkie.  So pix in that special edn. weren't limited to jurrasic
rigs.

And I've also read the 52-65 mc BC-322 cousins were used for 'moutain
topping' in those parts - no reference tho.  So their use does have a good
probability
